Recently I was commissioned -- in real life -- to draw two authors for the cover of the flyer for their appearance at a local writing club. This first one stars Anne Ursu, the author of a new book by the name of Breadcrumbs. The book is a despairing tale where a lonely girl's best friend is tricked into deceiving her by a snow witch. My drawing is of Anne as the snow witch depicted in the novel -- her breath is visible due to cold atmosphere and she fashions a fur collar, which is quite popular in queens. It's my first realism, my first commission in real life, and I'm quite proud of it. Please feel free to critique anything~
I'M SO SORRY but Blazie happens to be my friend and you happen to be immature. I mean seriously, swearing on the internet at your age..tut tut Your just downright rude, learn some manners and try and perfect your art before criticising others without being constructive.
Okay, why are we talking about this again? This was a long time ago that I drew this, and I admit there are some anatomy mistakes. She could have an overbite or an underbite, but her mouth is closed, and lips protrude pretty equally, so I wouldn't worry about it, k?
Oh, my God, Blazie! This is almost too good for words to describe. I especially adore the variety of colors in everything. It creates a beautiful texture. And the eyes are gorgeous- the eyelashes are amazing ;o; the only thing that kinda bothers me is the hair is so abstract; it kinda looks like a big mess to me, IDK, I'm just picky like that. Overall, I can't beleive this is your first try at realism. It's beautiful and I hope you draw more of it in the future, seeing how it comes out so well.
I'd post that as a critique but I can't because I'm no premi :I
Variety in colors? It's a grayscale, but... okay /shot Thanks so much Anna for the critique <3 It was really nice~ Thank you for the compliments as well <3 The hair is a little messy, true, I wanted a bit of an abstract feel to it, you know what I'm saying? xD
Lol I meant like darkness/lightness XD I see how that could be confusing. You're very welcome Blazie~ I totally understand :3 it just visually bothers me for some reason. Not anything wrong with the art, just wanted to point it out XD
